The Hamilton Inn: A Cozy New American Dining Experience in Jersey City

Found this great spot leaving the city! Great quality food for brunch, (incredible bacon BTW)- real good Bloody Mary! Service at the bar was outstanding!

I love this place. I have been coming here for years, especially when I lived around the corner. The area is unbeatable. It's a beautiful park surrounded by brownstones and older buildings. They have a small section for outside seating, inside seating and seats at the bar. So there's plenty of options. The inside is small and cozy. It has a old-timey feel. I've always found the staff to be nice and accommodating. They have 2 small tvs behind the bar so you could come to watch a game or something but it's definitely not a sports bar. The drinks here are always great. Especially the cocktails. You really can't go wrong with any of them. Onto the food. The tuna tartare stays as a staple. I always get it. They give you a great portion and it's flavorful with the wonton crisp chips. Another favorite is the calamari. It never disappoints. The pierogis used to be something I raved about but I think they changed the recipe. They used to be steamed and these felt fried when I came a few weeks ago. My friends, who still live in the area, said the same thing. It was kind of a bummer. For the main meal I ALWAYS get the Mexican torta sandwich. It is honestly so hard for me to get anything else because this sandwich is sooo good. Do yourself a favor and get it. I'll never stop coming to this place.

Came here for lunch on a Monday afternoon and it was great! The food was delicious and the service was quick (empty at the time). They have a small cute trailer/bar with cute lights on the outside. The restaurant itself is also nice with outdoor seating. It's near a park that you could go for a stroll after. Also street parking is accessible.

A cozy, all-American style joint with a nice selection of food and drink. We came in during the happy hour and enjoyed the cocktail menu (would recommend the margarita). Everything on the menu is a win, specially the burrata pasta and the lamb burger and salmon. Decent vegetarian options (have nice apps like cauliflower bites), salad and pasta. Would recommend sitting at the bar and catching the happy hour! Prompt and attentive service!

We sat at the bar on a Sunday afternoon and were served quickly. Awesome summer cocktail list. Our food came out within 10 mins of ordering and everything was delicious. The candied pecan salad was my favorite item with the Asian bbq crispy cauliflower wings second. Vibes are quiet and classy. Good place to catch up with friends or coworkers.

We moved to JC over a year ago - and this is the perfect neighborhood spot. Chill, quiet on the weeknights. The staff is so friendly and accommodating - and their drinks are really tops! We had the Inn Burger and even though they could have been juicier, the quaint serving and yummy fries made up for it. Def recommend this spot to couples on ransom date nights - and there's so many dishes we want to try!

Love their food, went here for Valentine's Day 2022 and was so obsessed I'd order delivery all the time for the same items I had (the Thai garlic wings & the salmon eggs Benedict). Also tried what my ex had and it was great, a different egg Benedict option I feel like. Went for the first time in awhile recently and tried something new, got the short rib grill cheese and the wings as always (very crispy, flavorful, amazing sauce and not too much or little and great garnish every time). Short rib grill cheese, like all of their stuff, was amazing, tender boneless meat, great flavor and freshness/ crisp to the sandwich without being dry, hard or bland. Fries were slamming as well, think I've had them in the past and they're always good. Highly recommend, the type of place where everyone's meal at the table, no matter what they choose, hits. Could use some drinks deals on a Sunday in JC but the quality of the food makes the expensive / mid drinks okay. Bloody Mary was kind of pricey and just meh, not that notable. Wish there were better drink options/ brunch options/ even if there aren't deals for brunch drinks.
